I had a daily consumption of about 25% which was not bad. I attempted to update the firmware from the official site and failed to start update a couple of times. Then the battery started to drain in less than a day even if I dont use it or there are no apps running in the background. My assumption is that there is somewhere a setting for the power usage of the phone which was reset during the unsuccesfull attempt. A battery can not be worn out in one day. There should be an explanation. I could update the firmware from another pc succesfully but the decreased battery life did not improve. Is there any one who has a similar problem or who can help.

Yes, successfull update seems to be working. This behaviour happens when the update fails in the beginning after automatic power up power down. A message asks to start over and to remove the battery for the phone to be able to start again. Eventhough it starts again I think it remains in the update mode which makes the phone battery to drain very fast. For those who may have the same problem it does not recover unless you complete a successfull update.

What update? ... Is SE providing any new update to the P900 firmware off late?
