life timer in service menu cannot be reset. Check that. Also some people use the camera and forget to erase the pictures. Check the 'pictures' folder.
Check for scratches and make sure that the camera works properly (test it).
btw wasnt there a thread regarding this life timer recently ?

of course not ! I did not create this thread. Yeppi did ! HE asked a question and said he was going to buy a k700 and what to check to ensure that it wasnt a used one. He asked whether the lifetimer can be reset or not. I just replied to that question and now his post has vanished !!
