Isnt storing a number laborious on these phones. There doesnt seem to be a quick way of doing it!
My dad sent me his new number via text the other day, I had to:
1. go into the message, click the number i wanted to store,
2. click "add to contacts". It then opens up a NEW entry rather than asking if you want to add it to an already existing one.
So its in a new contact entry,
3. I then had to open the mini keypad on the screen,
4. highlight the number,
5. cut it,
6. exit from that screen,
7. go into the phone book,
8. find my dads details,
9. open them,
10. remove old number
11. paste the new one in.
Doesnt this seem a bit long winded to you? The same is true if you receive a call say from someones home for example which you want to add into their existing phonebook entry, you have to go through the same lengthy process.

Not really, you only have to do it once, now and then when people get new numbers.

I'm on your side batesie. It should at least ask if you want to add it to an existing contact.

Not really. My line of work etc means I have to meet new people and venues all the time, I get calls from mobiles, offices, home my dad was just an easy generic example. I find it hard to believe they didnt make it so you could add numbers to existing phone book entries. Having the "add to contacts" thing on is a right pain in the bum as well so i tend not to like using it. Nokia got it right with their phonebook functionality!
