I have recently bought this reader http://www.7dayshop.com/catal[....]acturers_id=&products_id=99237 to work with my 512Mb Sandisk duo pro. I get 4 drivers showing one of which displays as a MS drive. When I inser tthe card in the adaptor nothing happens. If I then try to access the drive windows explorer stops responding! am I doing something wrong? does it not like the adaptor?

Any help is appreciated!

Try using the card without the adaptor. I know some card readers will only work with just the card inserted

it was the same for me and it was a really stupid thing if there is 4 slots but it takes 12 memory card you have to do something different to the card,
so get you memory stick you want to use the way you was putting it in the card read, turn it up side down and then put it in,there you go it should(will work now)

I tried but it doesn't feel to fit very well. When I looked very few readers specified they would take the duo pros.

I've emailed about returning the reader.

Yeah I have been trying to use the adaptor. When you insert the card XP pro should automatically open the drive asking if you want to view the files etc but I don't get that. If I then go to my computer and try and open the drive it takes ages before asking me to insert a disk. I've tried a SD card from a camera at work and it works fine with that.

so you have turned the memory stick duo upside down and put it in the memory stick duo slot, because looking at the reader it will take a memory stick duo,and yeah the drive should come up straight away

I will do but initial reaction is it will be going back. I'm not a PC dummie so I should be able to get a card reader to work but for some reason I can't with this one!

memory stick readers are really really good the best thing i have brought for my phone, you can move a film file (about 100mb) from your computer to the memory stick in about 3 mins, which if using the phone would take 2 hours
