> USB Cradle connection problem

Hi guys!
I have this strange problem with my P800. A few months ago, it crashed completely and formatted itself. After that I've been having problems with the connection between the P800 and my pc.
Everytime I have switched my phone off and on again and want to connect to my PC, it doesn't pick it up. I have to go into Control Panel - Cable, select Modem, click Done, go back into Cable, select PC Connect and then it will connect to the PC. (It's on PC Connect by default) And that means that I cannot use the backup & restore, because it swithces the phone off.
I've taken it back to SE several, but the software update doesn't work.
Also, the green indicator light shines constantly, instead of flicking.
Any ideas on what might be wrong?

this happened to me and i sent i back to se, and it came back fine, how long have you had your p800
