Ok i hope somebody can help and give me some hope. My p800 stopped holding a signal so being under warrenty i took it CRC in nottingham when they looked at it they said the phone needed to go back to the manufacturer for repair.that was 3 weeks ago and i have rang crc to chase it up but they cannot get a time from whoever has got my phone! They said it could take up to 6 weeks.the question is is this normal? Why does it take this long? Will they fix it or give me a of phone (are there any left?) Help:-( This message was posted from a K700

Unfortunately the repair centres do appear to be this bad. I have heard of this happening a few times before.

When they send it back they usually give you a RA number and you might be able to check on the web on the status on it. However, I experienced long wait times for my P900 to get it back from a SE repair center in the US. With the P800 an older phone spare parts might be scarce.

Thanks Guys,

What I want to know is where is my phone? who do they use these days as I am pretty sure SE do not do the repairs?!Also what are the chances of them being able to fix it?,If spares are in short supply what will they do?I must admit I am worried. How long do you rekon it will take in the end?

if they cant get the parts for your p800 then they will probably give you a refurbished unit. if they dont have any refurbished units then they should give you a p900.
If i were you i would pester the people that you took it to, as they might be able to hurry it up a bit.
