Hi!

Is there a way to enable/disable number showing on the P910. I know I can enable/disable it before I dial, but I have to set it for every call. Is there a setting which enables a "Always show my number" or "Always hide my number" function? It seems to be a simple question but I searched through all the menuitems on the phone but haven't come across anything that would do this. Does anyone out there know the solution. I am on Vodafone and they do support number hiding.
Actually the biggest problem for me is that my P910 is hiding my number always which is bad. Previously my P900 was able to handle it and my K700 also. The customer assistance say that I do have it enabled. Any ideas?

cant even get as far as you in that I dont see the option to hide when calling. My nokia had this option but for the life of me I cant find it on the 910
in theory prefix no with *31# to display and #31# to hide
to see status *#31# send
suppose you could always set up a caling card with one of the options but that appears rather crude.

Hi,

Showing/Hiding per call is easy. You can do it two ways:
1. With flip closed:
Enter number, then press the Right button, next to C and select wether to show/hide your number

2. With flip open:
Goto Phone menu
CLick on the number icon and enter the number, then under Phone submenu select Show/Hide.

However there are two things I cannot do:
1. Enable/Disable this always so I don't have to go through it always
2. Do this for a contact stored inside, since if I click it will always dial the number.

Hope that helps somehow. It seems that you have to enable/disable the number showing by contacting the network provider. They can turn it on/off if you want. But this is a real hassle, since I don't want to call them everytime I want to hide my own number always.

you can only insert #31# in every contact number, but a permanent hide is not possible in P800/900. Nevertheless your provider could it for you.
