> S700 going mental when it is on charge

anone had this? Put it on charge last night as I have done every night since I got it two weeks ago. At 12:30am it started to go nuts, repeatedly pinging like it was going on charge.
I took the phone off charge and it continued to ping and the charging light on the side was still illuminated. The only way I could stop it was take the battery out. Put it back on charge after switching it on, and it did the same...
It did it this twice then started to play normally again. Like I said, nuts...

The only weird thing I've had happen with mine, is I encoded a full length movie onto mem card (it was about 85 megs) after about 45 seconds the picture froze but the sound continued, I then couldn't stop it.
Similar to you the only was to either remove the battery or mem card,

Sounds like a wrong batt. If the fone is under warranty, ask for a new one.

@peter try another batt and charger aswell. Made some thoughts, maybe an upgrade or put the same fw on the fone could solve the bug too.

NO, it's not a bug or a battery problem. It's a charger problem. My brother's phone behaved exactly the same when he charges his phone and when it was about to go full, the "Optimized charging" message appears together with the charging tone, then disappears, then appears again until it just stays stuck with it and can't be turned off anymore except by removing the batteries. We traded chargers as we have the same phone just to make sure that the charger is really the problem. I tried it and the same thing happened to my phone so he had his charger replaced and it's OK now.
