> How do you know if your phone is unlocked?
Bookmark topic
Hi, I went to acingular agent and they said all their phones were now unlocked. I just got a T637 from online, and I believe it should be unlocked. How can i find out? I went to the settings menu, and then to the sim lock, and then it has three options, protection (which is OFF), and change pin and change pin2.
Is this an unlocked phone or no? How can I tell for this phone and in the future with others?
Thank you

Thanks a lot you guys, four locks, and all are open, and im connecting to network 5, which would be cingular. So I guess I have an unlocked phone I can take with me while travelling. Too bad that it is only tri-band, huh? 850/1800/1900

Quite a confusing one here . . . As if it also means - UNLOCK of keypads ? Well, as I see it, better try INSERTING different SIMCARDS, if it can accomodate ALL of your local network's then it just goes without saying that it is - UNLOCKED mate!

yeah, i would have tried that, but most people i know here don't use sim phones. I am in the states, and most of my friends are not on gsm networks, so there is really not a way to test whether another sim would work, although that would be easiest.

If four locks are open that means that the phone is totally unlocked and it's able to accept any sim card from any network.
