just have a SIM permanently inserted
then dont remove it ever to access menus without inserting SIM
just joking
dont think it is possible. At least not on a P900 (or even my older siemens s45). Must be a reason why they design phones this way

I remember there is a utility for Nokia7650 that let you use the symbian phone without a sim card. I just forgot the apps name. But perhaps its available to Pxxx now. Anyway, why not just go into flight mode? I presumed your Pxxx is lock to certain provider and you do have the right sim

Im not quite sure it is apropriate to this on esato, but here goes... To access to the menu in your-phone without having a SIMcard inside do the following: type **04*0000*0000*0000# When display say "Wrong Pin"press 'NO' and you have access to all if not most menus ..... Im not sure if this *backdoor* still works , but give it a try..

Just use an inactive sim, I have a P910 but still keep an old dead pay and go sim in my P800 when I need to transfer files etc. Allows you to use all functions just doesnt pick up network.
