> Outlook 2003 driving me nuts
Bookmark topic
Guys please help me rescue my sanity.
Firstly when I sync, Outlook 2003 warns me that a program wants to access the email addresses and whether I approve - fine. Then when I sync I get duplicates in my calender and contacts on the phone (not Outlook). I've searched this forum for similiar complaints and made sure all my sync setting are correct but still I get the duplicates and have to force a full syncronisation (comp overwrites phone) to put things right.
I will happily downgrade to an earlier version of Outlook if it is less trouble than the one I have... any recommendations??
Cheers
Carlos

I'm afraid I can't do more than add that syncing with OL 2003 drives me buts too because OL and the phone do not seem to come to an agreement concering the daylight savings. All the 'all day events' I enter into OL appear in the phone beginning on 01:00 and ending on 0100 the next day.

I got the same problem, the number of times I sync means the number of duplicate entries I got in contacts. Worst, none of my phone's calendar entry goes to OL and none from OL goes to phone.

Glad I'm not the only one with problems....!
I actually rarely Sync now because of this.
I just can't be arsed with spending hours redoing everything when it messes up.

What it all boils down to is that Symbian is British - and nothing made here bloody works

I sync with Outlook 2002 (XP) every day. It works reasonably well for most calendar items. Doesn't work well with recurring appointments (particularly if you then edit them on the P9), converts recurring reminders (e.g. birthdays) to appointments of zero length, and occasionally seems to miss changes to all-day events when they are made on the phone.
So it's a bit flaky, but just about acceptable. To be honest, although I put up with this it is shocking that after so many versions of the P8/P9/P910 software and so many versions of PC Suite, that it is not substantially better than this. See other threads for more...!

I left Psion back in the early 90's and have been with Palm ever since, so this early experience with Symbian is bringing back all those bad memories.
I hate to jump ship so soon, but I may return the P910i and just wait for the Treo 650 to be released because 'as of now' the phone no longer wants to sync with the base station. I'm getting the wavy connection icon and the little P910i has disapeared fromt the task bar
