hi, I've just bought a secondhand P900 (Could someone please stop me from buying phones before I bankrupt myself?

), which was originally on Orange but is now unlocked to any network.
I've gone to the

website to get them to send the GPRS/mms and email settings for O2 to my phone, which appear to have installed with no problems.
Now, when in standby mode, the GPRS triangle is see-through, but when I go online it does go blue as it should and connects to the internet - but as soon as you disconnect again, the triangle goes see through again! I've set the O2 settings as default, rebooted the phone and this still happens. Is there something simple I've missed somewhere?
Also, when I try checking for emails, it establishes the connection seemingly OK, then gets stuck on the 'connecting to pop.virgin.net' screen permanently and doesn't connect. What's confusing me is that I've tried sending a test email, and it sent it fine! It just doesn't seem to recieve them. Any ideas? Thanks!

i can help with the first question. Go to control panel / connections / internet accounts / other , then in the box " preferred mode " select automatic . This will make the blue triangle apear ( as long as you are in a gprs area ).

Thanks for your help!

Anyone any idea on the email problem?
Edit: The MMS/GPRS is all set up and works, I had it working fine on my K700, which also checked/recieved emails OK, just a problem with recieving emails on the p9 at the moment!

It's better for GPRS to be detached anyway, it will save some battery since your phone won't be searching for GPRS all the times. It will only connect using GPRS when you want to.

I've decided to make this thread my 'general p900 questions' thread thus the new title! A couple more silly question I'm afraid...
Whenever I open sman, it flashes up 'error reading DB', and then will continue to flash it up at random intervals. Sman still runs, but certain features like the 'autorecord cells' function in the network info section won't work for example, just flashes that error message up again.
I also can't get Agile messenger to work - it will start to connect, it's even downloaded a software update - but as soon as I try to install this software update, it comes up with 'access denied' and won't install the update! I cant login either. Gets stuck on the 'connecting to server' page. I even get the access denied message when trying to uninstall agile - I have to delete the files manually using Sman. I am installing on the c:/, not on the mem stick.
Any help much apreciated, thanks!

@Sammy_boy:
You will need to "re-init" the database for Network Info before you can use it correctly. Something I had forgotten to put into the manual.
I can run Agile Messanger nicely on my P800.
