> P900 Serious Problem - Please Help!
Bookmark topic
Hey,
I have just bought my P900 from vodaphone, the phone is unlocked. It's just that the phone keeps saying "sos calls only" it wont get a signal I have tried an O2, Orange and Vodaphone sim and non of them work. It doesn't get GPRS signal and doesnt attempt to show a signal at all, absolutely nothing! I have performed the latest device upgrade online and also used recovery mode second time.
Please can someone suggest what I can do to make it get a signal..
Thanks.

Is it brand new from the shop?if so,try a master reset.if that fails i'd return it for a replacement.sounds like a defective antenna/component,if the master reset fails to fix mate.

If you'd have said the phone was not new,i'd have said it was blocked(blacklisted),but that's ruled out.it sounds like a faulty internal antenna,suspect component or possible dry solder joint to me.hope you get the problem rectified anyway bud.

Usually when it sais sos calls it cant pick up your network. You say new phone, maybe sim not active. Have you tried that sim in other phone?

@nhg61
I don't think it is a problem with unregistered SIM crads as you have tried several different cards, unless of course they are all unregisterd.
Has the handset itself been registered? Have you tried giving Vodafone a ring?

are you sure that the phone is unlocked?
have you tried pressing - (jogdial)up * down down * down * and checking that all the padlocks are open in the information>sim locks menu?
i think you will have to give vodacrap a ring!
