I just got my V800 on Friday from Vodafone and I'm really interested in wirelessly connecting it via Bluetooth to my laptop and using it as a way to access the Internet with 3G data speeds. I tried this and followed the instructions in the PDA document given by SE on their site, and I was unsuccessful. Anyone had any luck with this? I have a Sony TR3AP3 and it does recognize the phone but when it comes to connecting I have a lot of difficulty. Can anyone help?

I think you will need to contact Vodafone they have a very good support for things like that as I am sure you will need some settings for the laptop.

Ok I just found this on Vodafone webite which should make it quite simple..

Hope that link works... just download the Vodafone Connect software and I guess everything is as simple as pie...

Dude I got the same laptop, flick wireless on, select bluetooth, then do a search the phone with bluetooth enabled and on the right hand side of the laptops keyboard place the phone.
Then do the security key bit, keep it simple, then thats pretty much it. Install the modem drivers that come on a cd with the phone, and hey presto

if this doesn't work let me know

Sort of, it was working fine until I restarted the computer. Then I don't know what happened. But I can tell ya the speeds were pretty fast. The msn homepage loaded up in jst a few seconds. The speed was about 150kb/s (I think). I may be wrong but that's more or less it. Now I've just gotta get the damn thing working properly!
