the distance would still be limited to 10m, since the PXXX phones are only capable of sending upto 10m, so eventhough you COULD have something that is longer you would still need to send packets back to the sender in order to have a valid BT connection. BT is not a one way communication transfer protocol, so you're limited to 10m. Also just think of how much power a 3mile BT transceiver would require on your phone, not to mention the 3 foot long aerial antenna.

How'd I REALLY wish that 3 mi. distance works

If ever, I'll just leave my fone at home and just bring a BT headset with me on to work, as it only require some distance going to and from my . . . work place . . .

that doesn't sound like a very good idea unless you only use you phone to call people for whom you have recorded a voice dialling command, or for receiving calls.
Do you never use wap? email? play games, listen to music, watch a video, look up an address or dial other people that you have not recorded a voice command for? etc etc? while going to or from your work?
I'm not sure you have thought that one through properly

Nope, the IDEA was really great (if ever), as I STILL don't have a landline at my NEW workplace (newly built building with no available line when rented) @masseur, also, applying for ONE has never entered my mind at the moment as it will take sometime before the installation took place, quite expensive too, as celfone has been a common (medium) means of transporting messages (SMS mostly) at my end. Business transactions will solely depend on the fone that I will be using here. To top it all, I seldom carry a fone while in my workplace right now, as I have LOST some already. If ever, the 'would-be' snatcher does not know how a Bluetooth works, as some are mistakenly have SEEN it as a : HEARING-AID device, specially when worn!
