I have a Voda Uk P910i and although there is an firmware update available for the P910 it's not available for the Voda branded phones! Is it just because they are waiting for Voda to approve the new firmware etc or will there never be an update available because of the locks Voda put in their phones now?

locks has nothing to do with firmware updates and a firmware update will never change the lock status of the phone

when

releases new firmware the various operators have to add their branding to it so it can be available for their branded phones and this takes time. Sometimes the operators decide the upgrade is not important enough and don't even bother to provide for every

firmware release

thanks for the reply. My P910I is on R1A firmware and considering the current is R3A... then that's two 'major' firmware updates behind.

Hopefully SE and Voda can sort this soon then.
