hi all,
ive got a infra red adaptor and not working properly. The name of the ir adaptor is mobile action ma620 ir adaptor.
It came with a cd with its software and stuff.i installed the software but its not working properly.
computer detects the ir port on usb.
1st problem is that my computer does not detect the 610 when i turn on ir and place in front of it(adaptor).
when i send some file from phone to comp, the comp detects that 610 is in range,
but the file i sent from the phone never reaches the comp.i have 2 os' win98 and win xp,i send a file from my phone to comp
and comp says 610 is in range and u can send files, and i send a pic to phone,
and the app (irftp) freezes for sometime attempting to send the file,
and after some time it reports that "the address is not valid at the context"
in win 98,after attempting to sned the file to phone for sometime,it reports that the device is not in range.
A review of the adaptor can be found here where u can find its details

Help me out guys . Thanks

i still think that you need additional software to be able to move files around. try installing original software that came with your SE, try Float Mobile Agent ( http://fma.sourceforge.net/ ) or try programs from Christersson.org ( http://christersson.org/software.php ).

Hi

I have a K500i Mobile. I am trying to have IRDA connection with the PC. But what happens is it detects that mobie is there, and it shows data transfer is in 11500. At this stage, when I start to send one picture from mobile tp PC via infrared, mobile hangs telling connecting. I ahve to restart my mobile to escape from this.

Please help me

Thanks in Advance

Perhaps your IR adapter is damaged. I used to have an IR adapter that worked fine for the first 2 weeks. When I put my K700i in front and the IR is turned on, the computer (win2k) automatically shows a balloon saying "Another computer with a wireless link is available". On the third week of usage, It doesn't show that message anymore and that's when I got problems uploading/download files via IR. I had the IR adapter replaced and it's OK now.
