Hi

I've taken the battery out of the phone and on the sticker there are 2 sets of numbers that look like the serial number...

Can anyone tell me which one it is please?

Thanks

Jon

I take it you mean the IMEI number?

It's the 15 digit one starting with 35

If that's not the one you want then the other one is probably the unit serial number ??

Hi

Yes, it's the unit serial number I'm after. It's not the IMEI number.

The manual says it's under the battery pack, but there are two sets of numbers there. I don't know which one it is.

Thanks

Jon

Actually, my understanding is the serial number is part of the IMEI number..

For example on the P800's & P900's-

A sample IMEI number might be 351111-44-999999-2-88

The first two digits (35) is the country code, the next four digits (1111) is the fac/final assembly code, the next two digits (44) is the tac/type allocation code, the next six digits (999999) is the SERIAL NUMBER, the next digit (2) is the cd/check digit and the last two digits (88, which are usually ignored are extra check digits)
So the format is cc-fac-tac-sn-cd-xcd for the P900's manufactured up to April 1,2004.

For the P910 series... a sample IMEI might be like 35444444-999999-2-88

The first 8 digits (35444444) is the tac/type allocation code, the next six digits (999999) is the SERIAL NUMBER, the next digit (2) is the cd/check digit and th last two digits (88) again are just extra check digits, often ignored)
So the format is tac-sn-cd-xcd

Hope this clears a bit up..
