The problem I am having with o2 is the fact that they never sent the first statement to me and applied to my bank without any relevany paperwork telling me so. I then tried to make payment VIA my VISA card which they said got rejected, which no trace was on my account of them even trying. I couldn't then retry within a 24 hour period. After 48 hours i tried again this time it went through. By this point they had barred all outgoing calles apart from to their customer service number "100". After the first month they never unbarred my phone and then they sent the second months statement saying that i owe another £60 for a month that they had barred my phone. i then paid this but they still never connected my phone, we are now in my 5th month and still have no service, they keep sending me bills saying i owe them for all the months that i have had no service, Is any one else having this problem or have heard of any problems like this, the customer service people are crap as they can offer no help on the matter what so ever apart from sending me from piller to post only to get someone saying that they will call me back within 24 hours, like heck do they, i've even e-maild the o2 web site to say how poor a service they have and they never even got back to me about it. Does any one have a head office number as they will only give out an address that i have mailed a letter to saying that i want to cancel the contract. Hopefully anyone out there might give me some valid advice on hopw to tell the worlds worst phone company where they can stick their sim card as im keeping the phone after paying out a total of £125 and only making a total of 3hours outgoing calls

Should sholdn't pay for a service you arn't using.

Try esato search on O2 as there was a few numbers for o2's HQ.

cancell all direct debits by calling your bank and and stop paying your bills with your visa and refuse to pay another penny. say it in writting that you wont pay another penny untill you are unblocked and add that if you do not recieve any further correspondance within 30 days you will take this to be an agreement that your contract is null and void and that you keep your handset! i am pretty sure that if you put that in writting you will get a response of them pretty quick! and if they dont reply then simply dont pay n e more and keep the handset! once they do get in touch threaten them with the small claims court if you are not given a refund for line rental for the time ytou havent recieved a service (btw this is all based on your story being accurate! if o2 have genuine reason to believe this all somehow your fault then i wouldnt just stop my payments as they will blacklist you and no doubt send the bailifs round!) wish you luck getting n e where with o2 customer service!!!!!!

I had so many problems ever since taking out the phone. First Phones for you agreed to pay of the 2 months of my old contract for me, they said that it would be done by the time I take out the new phone, Took out the new phone but they never paid the bills. This gave me a total of £120 in charges as each time they applied to my bank i got a charge. I cornered the guy i got the phone from in the shop and he could only give me the £30 to pay of the remainder of the contact for my old phone. Thus making me -£120 from just taking out the phone. Everything stated before was entirely true, I've tried numerous times to contact o2, many times on hold for 20minutes and giving up and other times they say they will ring me back but they never do. Basically all direct debets got cancelled on my account after i got loads of bank charges from the previous contact, this was done after they applied to my bank for the money for the new contract, basically the first month the phone was ok. the second month started and the phone was barred. paid the second month and no bar lifted. they are unwilling to unlift the bar as they say I owe them for the third and fouth month. i have told them that they are getting no money out of me. I did put all this in writing to head office as they did give me an address but not a phone number. A few days later the contact got completly shut down so i thought I was in the clear. Couple of days later I get the final bill saying if I don't pay a £60 for the third month line rental they will take me to court, I have 5 days to sort somehting out before they go ahead with it. Tried contacting them, guess what, their experiencing large numbers of calls. i did try and get them to cancel the contact but they said they couldn't cancel it as I haven't had it for 12 months, after passing me from piller to post with different parts of the company and 2 different people saying that they would call me back I gave up and said ok. So at this moment in time, they know I have 5 days left and probable will never receive this call that they promised me.

O2 are well known for account f*ck ups, but dont worry in the long run they normally put things right.

Just make sure your bank knows not to pay them, and then O2 will contact you to find out why. That gets their attention.

Heres my story:

I havent been billed for my O2 contract since June. O2 SMS'd me in September to tell me my bill was on the way. It never came. Its now November.

I was about to call them as i was worried that the mounting bills (June-November) would add up and put a big hole in my account.

Saturday morning i was suprised when i received a letter from them apologising for their screw up. As a good will gesture, they said they wont bill me for June - November.

In other words, i got 6 months of my contract fee's waived. Monday morning i received my bill for June - November and the balance said £0.00.

So, i've had free contract calls, sms, mms, and GPRS since June.

Well done O2, you can screw my account up anytime !

Hi there. Looks to me like your problem might not be with O2 themselves, but with Phones4U.

" I had so many problems ever since taking out the phone. First Phones for you agreed to pay of the 2 months..........."

If you took out the contract with Phones4U, it is their billing company, Singlepoint, that you have the problem with. Don't worry, you're not alone there. Just do an Estao or Google search and you'll see how well documented it is. I had no end of grief with them myselves. My advice is to make sure EVERYTHING is in writing and sent Recorded delivery.
