Hi
Is there a Windows Registry-like engine in the Symbian UIQ?

I notice some trial apps I've installed and uninstalled a month ago can not be installed again without a time expired message !!

Where is this information stored ??

I didn't like the old version ok... but it's *stupid* I can't try a newer version to see if I like it this time ??

Besides, I *didn't* try the old version because it crashed on startup!

You could try contacting the developer and explaining your situation. I am sure he will explain a way to extend your testing period

Have a look in c:\system\install. You might find what you are looking for in there. BUT!!!!!! before you start deleting stuff, make sure that you have backed your phone up first.

You might want to also look in the d:\ drive as well

All the best

Just to say, for all you to know, that Psiloc answered saying I can not trial the new version if I tested an older version that expired.
The older version crashed, I never tested the damn program!!!

Isn't this plain stupid?

@wiggs
A Screen Capture program is not the same as a Screen Saver
Thanks anyway
