Huawei Technologies today announced the global launch of commercially ready-for-market UMTS devices at the 3G World Congress & Exhibition in Hong Kong. With the launch of the three types of commercially marketable series terminal UMTS products, Huawei is the first producer of 3G handset in China.

well... first UMTS/GPRS phone is may be Sanyo V801 or something that was before it but not this one Huawei....
