Which phone plays best quality MIDI polyphonic ringtones ? I heard the k700i misses out on some notes

. Also , which plays the best sound in other categories eg: wav , mp3 etc ?.... Mentioning volume levels would be helpful too . Thanks everyone ..

I agree to an extent because MMF tones are pretty hard to come by

I think that t610/t630 plays better the midi tones. Sagem phones have hifi speacker, so the wav and amr (ever if they are at 8kbits) are played louder and better than many other phones. Though the midi play of sagem phones is very bad..

i will have to say the moto E365, the notes are loud but not distorted and the percussion instruments sound really good.
i was really dissapointed when i bought my K700 at the quality of the ringtones compared to the E365

On some of the phones that I tried:
Samsung plays well if the MIDI files are converted properly and the balance of the volume for each track is carefully adjusted before converting it to MMF. It has a tendency though to distort on some instruments and some notes. The clamshell are badly designed IMO as the speaker is covered when you close the phone so the volume becomes too low to be heard especially if you place it in your pocket.
SE - T610/630 midi is Great!, K700 midi is bad - volume is low and midi sound generator is poor. K700 mp3 is good quality, volume is loud enough.
N-6230 MIDI better than K700i but T610/630 is still better. N6230 mp3 is good, maybe almost same as K700i but just a bit louder IMO.
E-398, can't say anything about it's MIDI but mp3 is great quality, volume is loud, and gives real stereo output!

I would think that by far, T610 and all the models coming after that have the best sound quality in ringtones. Although the midi would lose its bass sound, it is far better than Nokia's 6610 that came out at around the same time.
