I got a K700i with Vodafone a while ago. When I bought it I put my old SIM-card in and it worked fine.
Since a friend of mine works at a Vodafone store he gave me instructions to us SE's DRM Packager program to make MP3's work as ringtones.
So I tried transfering the MP3-files (I'd converted to DRM) using Float's Mobile Agent and a USB cable and it worked like a charm. A couple of times at least. After a few days when I tried to transfer DRM files it just said "Transfer Failed" on the phone (I have the phone set to Swedish so that's my translation, but you get what I mean).
OK, that's wierd, I thought. What about plain MP3's then? They still worked perfectly fine transferring to the phone.
A couple of days later, the DRM files that I had managed to get over to the phone to begin with, all of a sudden had a red line across the key icon in the list of sounds on my phone. It seems like the DRM-encoding had "worn off", or something.
So I thought maybe it was the SIM-card, so I got a brand spanking new one from Vodafone yesterday. Exactly the same problem remains.
And here's the really annoying thing: my friend (who works at Vf) also has a K700i, with the exact same firmware in it, and his works great with DRM files.

What to do? I'm freaking out here. I bought this phone because I knew it should be able to handle MP3's in DRM-protected format and now it can't. Extremely frustrating.

Help, anyone?

I checked my phone and I have the firmware revision R2V001 and even though it's supposed to work with DRM-files it doesn't. Anyone with some thoughts on this?

Restore the phone to factory settings but you loose everything so make a backup and I recommend this as the alst option otherwise I don't know what's happening as I have an unbranded phone

Hey y'all!

I went to Vodafone a week ago and they took the the phone to send to a service shop. Got it back yesterday and now it works great. They've upgraded the firmware again and even soldered a circuit in the phone, so I guess there was something really wrong with it.
