Floats Mobile Agent asks for a Bluetooth address and port number,Any idea were i can find out these details,Thanks.

pair your phone and computer using the software that came with the bluetooth adapter, then look at the properties of the pair on your computer...generally your phones address is listed here. just leave the port number as 0 and FMA will figure the rest for itself.

...unless someone else knows a quicker way???????

I believe you have to use the serial port emulation to get FMA to work. Clink on the bluetooth thing and serial port and check what port it is, or look uner device manager.

If you are using Microsoft's Bluetooth stack in Windows XP then you can use the native Bluetooth option in FMA. If you are using a third party driver (e.g. Widcomm) then you need to connect your phone's Bluetooth serial port to a virtual serial port on your PC and select the relevant COM port in FMA's options.

I installed FMA and tried to connect using BT.......couldnt detect the phone.......I was using GPRS over BT at the time. Using MS BT drivers as original Widcomm drivers conflict with XP SP2 native BT drivers.Ultimately configured it to virtual com port1 and things worked. Any idea why it did'nt work in the first place? Are there any Widcomm BT stack drivers for WinXP SP2? I dont have OBEX after switching to MS drivers

You dont create it....MS drivers will do it for you......you just need to use it with FMA

Right i am sorry but i am competely lost here !!
My K700 connects fine with Sync Station over bluetooth but from what i have read FMA is better.I have installed FMA and updated it,now how do i get it to connect with bluetooth.
IRDA connect fine but takes forever so i would prefer to us bluetooth.
I have put in the bluetooth radio address number but in my devices it has small letters but it types as capitals and still find nothing.
Any instructions from scratch and in idiot proof language would be much appreciated,

I installed FMA today itself and faced the same dilemma. Using BT in FMA will not be able to access the phone.......some problem with XP.

First pair the phone with your BT on computer. By default the DUN and serial ports will be configured. See the settings for the com ports created by BT....say com 4 is being used by BT as virtual com1. Select com port on FMA and set it to that port (com4 in this case). And viola....the phone should connect when you click connect.
