I had a prior charging problem with my k700i. See http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=73686#post976672

Changing the battery to a cheap 3rd party Li-ion battery has fixed my charging problem. So I am sure it was the original SE BST-35 battery that was causing this problem. However, the bst-35 does work well in every other way.

I am curious, has anyone else had charging problems with the bst-35 li-poly battery?
Could it be li-ion is more tolerant/stable than li-poly?
Or is this just my bad luck and this single BST-35 battery is crazy?

My friend is having a BST-35 li-poly battery and he uses his k700i for 2 days in a single charge.

So I guess your friend's bst-35 does not cause his phone to get stuck in a "optimized charging" loop sometimes when the charger is inserted.

Then it must that something is wrong with my battery. Time to find out if SE will exchange my BST-35 for a new one.

Sometimes the charger itself does not do its job properly. The newer ones, with elctronics inside rather than a transformer, seem to be not so reliable with some batteries.
