> S700 - Status when screen blank?

Assuming the S700 goes blank to power save, is it somehow possible to tell if you have missed calls / new messages / voicemail etc WITHOUT reactivating the screen?
I don't know, through blink pattern or colour of LEDs or something?
At work I often leave my phone on my desk (in silent) when I grab a coffee, and I'd like to just look at it when I come back to know if I've missed something rather than fiddle with buttons etc.
Its not too much to ask is it?!

i think that's not possible..i have the phone for more than a month and there is no such option..the screen just goes blank and there is no way to tell if you have a missed call or message. i even debranded it (Vodafone) and upgraded the firmware to R3B032 and there is still no option for any kind of status screen while the phone is not in use..it's not a problem really but it's something i'm looking forward to see in upcoming firmwares
