Hi
My P800 just got stolen in India. I had an airtel connection, i know who has done it, but the police are not co operating. I was wondering if there was any way if Airtel could recover my phone through the use of the IMEI #. I read some articles on the net which said that Airtel had managed to recover a number of phones in the last one year.

if this is so, can you guys tell me how and whom to contact at airtel to recover my phone.

Always do a SIM lock, I know there are always ways around it, but don't make it so easy for a thiefs to just take your sim out put his in and it's good to go for him.

Should i contact airtel's central office or the local office where it got stolen.
my phone was stolen in aligarh, and the guys dont think that it can be done, but i read some place on the net that airtel had started locating stolen phones with the help of the police(?).
