> Help - Nokia 6670 Vs Orange SPV C500
Bookmark topic
Hi,
Now to start with i am not a newbie.........I was on this forum about a year back but have returned!
Now i know that this is a SE forum but everyone on here seems to be very knoweldgable about all phones so i thought this would be a good place to pose this question.
As the title says i am looking at getting a new phone and have narrowed it down to these two handsets. Nokia 6670 and the Orange SPV C500.
I have a few questions about the nokia
- Can you browse the internet on the 6670 like you can on the SPV?
- Can you watch movies and listen to the radio/MP3's on the 6670?
- Can you use MSN messenger on the 6670?
- Can you edit word/excell type documents on the 6670? (all be-it with extra software)
And a few about the SPV:
- Can you watch movies and listen to the radio/MP3's on the SPV?
- Can you watch these movies in full screen?
And a few general questions:
- Which is the better phone (both technicly and in your own opinion)
- Is the difference in camera and video camera noticable? (seeing as i rarely send my photos to my computer)
Sorry for the long post and lots of questions but i tried searching and i found lots of information about the nokia but i was still left wondering a few things.
Thank you in advance to the kind people of esato!

1. yes you can browse like on the PC

the netfront browser is way better then pocket IE on SPV c500
2. movies (even divx) are no problem. mp3 as well, however the output is mono. fm tuner is available as headset
3. MSN client is built in... (as well as ICQ, yahoo, AIM client .)
4. built in and the possibilities of quickoffice are better (you can also edit compared to view only on SPV c500)
2 spv, no fm tuner afaik, and on both phones (6670 & SPV) you can watch movies fullscreen, mp3s are also no problem
both are great phones. depends what do you prefer. SPV is a bit more slowly when writing let's say a SMS. I would pick nokia if I had to choose from these two.
spv c500 is actually the best WM2003 based smartphone.
but if you reallz want something best of the best then try nokia 6630

Doug Corsa,
- I recomment you C500. C500 has built-in MSN messenger for the 6670 you have to install 3rd party program (eg: Agille Messenger)
- The audio playback quality is better on C500 since all Nokia have an awfull playback. It also support WMA
- You can view fullscreen vids with SPV c500 and with 6670 with 3rd party programs (eg: Smart Movie)
- None of the phones has Radio, but there is an expensive solution: radio streaming
- You have installed Pocket Office & Outlock on c500
You can read here too (there is a thread with c500 phone & other HTC Typhoon):

Doug Corsa you cannot install Windows Media Player on Nokia 6670 but you can install a movie player that can play xvid movies (of course the films must be resized for the phone display) or other mp3 player...
I think Nokia 6670 has a better camera than c500, instead this c500 beats the nokia, just my opinion. Also c500 does has infrared, the 6670 doesnt.
