Is there away of changing/disabling the sms received sound ('classic Ericsson' sound) that is heard if you get a text whilst on a call?

go to sound, setting, messages, SMS, then select silent. so there will be no sound when SMS comes in.

Good suggestion but the drawback is evident....all audio sms notification will be switched off..........also it's not practicable to switch off before making a call and switching on afterwards.....and you cant do that for incoming call........
There is no way the notification during call can be switched off unless it is switched off absolutely....as @sfa suggests.
Time for manufacturers to introduce such user friendly features???!!!
