When i answer a call, and during the call i want to transfer it to my HBH-15, i switch on my HBH-15 and press the headset button and the call will not transfer. This only happens if the operation mode is set to automatic.

If the operation mode is set to on, and i switch on the HBH-15 during a call, the call will be transfered fine. But his way, the phone bluetooth is always on and the blue light is always flashing.

Has anyone got this problem. Help!

bbasra, what's probably happening, is when it's on auto, when you first receive the call, the phone tries to connect to the headset, but as it's off, it gives up and works as a normal, and bluetooth turns back off. If you then turn on the headset and try to retrieve the call using the headset, it can't, as the phone's bluetooth is turned off.
When bluetooth is turned on, however, the headset can contact the phone at any time and retrieve the call.

Hope this helps

This has helped alot and sounds spot on! Cheers Cardo.

1. But is this a fault, should it work like this or not. From the thread above, it sounds like it is a fault with my HBH-15 or T68i as it works ok for him on both 'auto' or 'on'.

2. Also, is it ok to leave bluetooth to 'on' all the time as the phone will always be looking for a device. Wouldn't this drain the battery alot quicker than if it was set to 'off' ?

Thanks......

When Bluetooth mode is ON,..it will always drain battery more.
Theres no doubt about that.
(I use the ON-mode on HBH-20 sometimes,...and also when connecting to bluetooth pc card on laptop or Ipaq pda).

SE-phones are not "that bad" in ON-mode,..but still it uses quite a lot more battery than usual.

On Automatic-mode it doesnt drain battery at all.

bbasra, here's my opinion.

your phone is set to automatic, your hbh-15 is off. when the phone receives a call, it will find a bluetooth headset, it will fail because you are just turning it on.

the solutions is, and works for me always, is the phone bluetooth is set to automatic, my hbh-15 IS ON. when the phone rings, press the hbh-15 answer button and the call will be transferred.

I have had the same problem with the HBH-15.

A couple of observations

1) Highly recommend "Auto" for battery life. "On" drains battery much faster

2) With "Auto", the phone has to search for the device after a call has been received. This causes a lag of seveal seconds before the HBH-15 rings (assuming that the HBH-15 is on and in standby mode).

3) If you depress the button on the HBH-15 before it rings, it will not pick up the call. I made this mistake for some time as it is not at all obvious.
