before my contract expires. if i have an unbranded mobile will i be able to use it as pay as u go in Spain?
my old T610 is unbranded and any sim card works in it hopefully it will be the same. i am going to get a s700i and want to use it when i leave!

You will have to infornm your network operator you are going abroad. Call costs will be steep, why not get a PayG one when your over there?

As long as you are suing a GSM SIM card then I don't see why you couldn't use an unlocked mobile with a foreign network.
meths suggestion of buying a Pay As You Go mobile in Spain is a good suggestion, but only if you are planning on being there for any length of time.

As I said, an unlocked mobile should be able to be used on any GSM network in the world that supports the frequencies the mobile in question utilises.

It will work, western europe uses the same frequencies.
My problem is the opposite, I want to go on contract in uk, but I can't since I've only lived here a year...
