Hi all

Just had a call from Vodafone to upgrade my P900 to the V800 for a special price (i'm a big spender). should I jump on the 3g just yet? I like my p900 despite all the irritations (the 128Mb Duo limit), and how compatible is it going to be, that is can i play my p900 trailers etc on the V800 or will they have to be recoded. I've decided the P910 is not a worthwhile to upgrade. Can some1 do a comparison between the P900 and the V800. Has the V800 got the communicorder that can record clips limited by the size of the memory stick? I do alot of browsing via Opera and use Agile messenger alot so these are a must. Should i wait for a 3G proper replacement for the P900 and any ideas when this is likely to be announced and released. I just can't believe the offer that I have been given. Do you think this is a trade down?

Hi,

Well you could start out by looking here: http://www.esato.com/phones/index.php/phone=145,cp=107

I tried out 3G on the network 3 earlier in the year, and I wasn't impressed. I have however been told that service has improved. Not sure what Vodafone's coverage is like.

I don't believe a V800 to be an 'upgrade' from a P900!!

Perhaps if you are keeping the P900 you could take a new phone as well. You may want to conside r getting someone to put P910 firmware on the P900 to get a P905
That way you get all the new software of the P910 AND MS Duo Pro compatibility!!
