Why do t29 with ultraslim battery feel significantly heavier than t39? According to the specs the difference is 3 grams but I doubt that. Did Ericsson put extra weight into t29 to sell more t39's or what?

The T29 is probably made from more denser and heavier materials.

T39 perfs :
300H/11H (with standard battery), but it also have bigger screen, IR, Bluetooth... it's take place.
T29 :
150/7H
there's also the T20e who is EXACTLY the same phone than T29s (same firmware), with different antenna, look, and a bigger (1150 mha) battery :
200H/10H

You are right, both of you. But it was the IR, bigger display etc on the t39 that made me wonder why it is lighter than t29. I almost started to believe they putted metal pieces or something inside t29 to make it heavier in comparison to the more expensive t39...
Regarding the comparison to t20, it is only the asian version of t29 that share the same platform. The european version is not the same. The easiest way to see wich version you got is to count the number of games. T20 has four and so has the asian t29, while the european version has five games. Atleast that's what I've heard.

there's 2 T20e :
T20e (for europe), and T20ec (for china).
I got a t20e here in France,
the was 4 games, and since R3A the is 5 games (exis, tetris, emaze; ballpop, and the "new" : 'game')
T20e and T29 got the same motherboard, the look and battery are not the same (i can REALLY talk 10H with it, usefull for unlimited call the week end :o) )
