SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Plantronics'
(NYSE: PLT) next-generation Bluetooth Headset System has earned a coveted
"Best of Innovations 2005" title in the International Consumer Electronics
Show (CES) Innovations Design and Engineering Awards. The company has
developed a wireless solution that enables people, particularly mobile
professionals, to seamlessly switch between their mobile phones, office
phones, laptops and other Bluetooth audio devices using the same headset. The
new system received the program's highest award in the small office/home
office category and is expected to be publicly announced and displayed in the
Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center during CES, January 6-9, 2005.
A second headset from Plantronics for mobile phones achieved honoree
status in the accessories category and is also expected to be publicly
announced at CES 2005.
"Savvy modern consumers expect headsets to not only provide superior sound
and performance, but to also enhance personal style," said Mark Breier, chief
marketing officer for Plantronics. "This award is a testament to Plantronics'
success in creating products that perfectly blend innovative technologies and
cutting-edge designs."
The CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards recognize the newest
consumer electronics products that exhibit excellence in form and function. A
panel, comprised of an engineer, an industrial designer and a member of the
trade press, judge products based on their user value, aesthetics design
qualities, contributions to the quality of life, and innovative design. The
Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) endorses and acts as advisor to
the awards.

You probably need to press a button on it or something to switch devices, not much use if you're wearing it under a crash helmet :-D This message was posted from a T610

You will not. Though wearing anything on the ear with a motocycle helmet will be a problem.
