the technology writer for the bbc wrote this very helpful tale about the v800, which he purchased last week.
its a good read, and very interesting. sounds like, for once, vodafone havent messed up!

I had a 3pay phone for a little while, and have just sold it as I wasn't using it, and didn't really know anyone with a video phone (like those in that report!) I might get a 3G phone on contract next year, but I'll wait a year for the services to all be launched before thinking seriously about it.
Hopefully by then they'll all allow us out of their little 'walled gardens' and surf the mobile web properly (including sites like Esato of course!) without any penalties. Until then, I'm very happy with my 2.5G P900!
