Hi!
I´m about to buy this desk stand but I´ve read a couple of times that an special additional USB cable is needed. Is this a standard cable or do I really have to buy one that seems to cost nearly as much as the desk stand itself? Or can I use my regular SE-desk stand cable )I don´t know whether it can be plugged out) ?

To be able to synchronize your phone with a PC you need to connect a cable in the back of Desk Speaker Stand, i.e. DCU-10, DCU-11 or serial cable DRS-11.
