> C500 SPV - Upgrade from P900

I have a P900 on Vodafone and its up from renewal in the new year. I am thinking about going for C500 on orange. I am not worried about chaning to orange, network tarrif ect.
I am not sure if the C500 is the a good phone or not, any opinions. Basically I want a phone with more less the same features as the P900 in a smaller package. Please comment on the battery life, features, software avaliablity if poss.

Well I'm about to get a E200, and the C500 can only get better, so I think its a worthy upgrade. Orange are quite good with their tarrifs, and their prices arent bad.
The one main update is the use of over 128 MB Dups, coz the C500 used mini-sd's - upto 1GB!

there are a few good reviews around, the one on coolsmartphone.com it pretty good.
from what i've read, i'd say it's more of a side-step than and upgrade or downgrade. it's just as feature-packed as the p900, but without the touchscreen and in a much smaller (and neater imo) package.

I would say its def worth it. Im on orange and have just changed from a p900 to a c500 for the same reason. email, calander, photos ect is all the same. Only thing that i miss about the P900 is the notes jotter.
Apart fronm that a fantastic phone and much smaller than the P900!

I've been using the i-mate SP3i which is similar to the i-mate SP3 which is the same as the C500 and I think its an excellent alternative if you want similar features in a smaller package. I'm actually thinking of getting an i-mate JAM (otherwise known as MDA compact) as its only marginally bigger than a T610/K700 from pics I have seen but has no keypad and therefore uses a bigger screen in that same form factor

and of course the qwerty keypad, it is everything that the larger version is, plus a 1.3MP cam. I had a play with one last week, in the form of the T-Mobile MDA Compact (imaginatively-named like a ladies handbag accessory) and it could even tempt me away from the P910i. It's also much more reasonably priced. In fact, I really can't see the downside, and surely it will seriously affect sales of the PDA2K with Wi-Fi something of a fringe benefit at the moment (though that is another debate altogether!)
