I have my P910i sitting on a cradle at work (powered). The backlight on the screen and keypad is on for about 8 hours.

Do you think this is a bad thing to do?
I guess the backlight is like a bulb and will eventually blow.

Does anyone esle do this and if so how long has your backlight lasted?

The backlight will last significantly longer than you'll have the phone.

I think the quoted lifetime figure by the manufacturers is in to hundreds of thousands of hours.

Most people only keep a phone max 2 years, and even taking 16 hours a day as average that's only 11,680 hours.

Don't worry, it's ok really .......

Yes the backlight may last, but im sure it will fade over time. Maybe not by much though

I keep my backlight settings quite low since the 100% brightness uses up more battery life.
