> Question about USB Bluetooth Adapter (laptop)

hi ,anyone can advices me on the issue of which standard of USB bluetooth adapater i should get for it to enabled my k700i ,to be able to link up with my Acer TravelMate 613TXV ?
i'm not very familiar with bluetooth stuff
somehow i know there's standard like Class 1 and Class2
in that case, wht's the standard that compatible for SEK700i ?
afraid if buy wrongly ,it might not work...
and it is better to get a 100m range ,rather than a 10m range right?
any brand u guy recommended ?
Linksys is doing a promotion now in Singapore ,for the SITEX2004
selling at SGD$49 (UP$89)
and it's class 1 standard.

Such a question 8 minutes after you posted your first question in this thread ? You are not very patient, are you ?
Anyway, it depends on your needs if you want 10 m or 100 m range; in my opinion 10 m range is far enough.
I think a Belkin Bluetooth dongle will do a good job.

today i went to that SITEX show...
and bought the Linksys USBBT100 (USB BT Adapter) at S$49 (UP$89)
aft survey and study most of the common brands there
still confident and prefer on Linksys product
as my home WIRELESS LAN network also rided on Linksys products..
so , make it one set. anyway have not setup yet (going to do so nw)
to see how's work...
next target will be on BT headset
which model u guy recommend ? BHH-600 or BHH-660 ?
i think the only thing different is BHH-660 come with the "LCD screen" which display the caller name (or phone number) ???
wht's your vies on SE BT Headset ? or third party is better?
saw a brand called "Blueye"(Blueeye ?) in the fair today...any comments ?

I'm using an SE K700i. Bought from M1, came with a Canon BT adaptor voucher to purchase for S$99..think alot of BT dongles are available cheaper especially at SL. Think range is definitely not a problem cos prob using BT to upload/download stuffs only...not really sure what else it does...
I'm using an older BT headset, the HC-35 or something, came at an offer price of S$170 at that time with my T610, works fine with my K700i now...
There's a pretty cool SE thingy, apparently connects to laptops or projectors and can use your handphone to control or send images up...not too sure how it connects tho' USB or otherwise...looks suspiciously like the adaptor for the newer TV sets, like a SCSI-style kind of adaptor..
