Which I can't even afford lol but I get paid Tuesday so it's ok but I dint think that was too bad considering I just got my new O2 contract and a free Nokia 6260 which I can hopefully sell in the mid £100's

Just excited and had to tell someone lol will be asking lots about it when I finally get it delivered

If this is your winning bid:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay[....]ory=42391&item=5734688098&rd=1

I would be very cautious because the seller has a zero rating. It might be worth driving to Cardiff and collecting it because I certainly wouldn't send 200 notes to someone with no history on Ebay.

Good luck

it does indeed sound kind of suspicious -- i'd try to stick to payment services where oyu know where you money is (like paypal)

or as someone already suggested drive to pick up the goods (for 240 pounds its totally worth making sure you et your phone safe and sound)

From the TOS in that ebay link above

"This auction is not for the phone but is for a website address, which will enable you to purchase the phone at a very cheap price. You will then be sent a cd, and will be sent the phone for free. You may end up waiting months and months until you recieve the phone though."

Looks like you may have been stiffed if that was the auction you won.

Yeah. Spotted the part in the listing saying that you just bought a link to a website for £240. Sorry to say it but you have just been stiffed. If I were you I wouldnt pay this nguy and report him the Ebay as he put the part about being a link in the middle of the description and didnt make it obvious. He was intentionally trying to scam people, and unfortunately you fell for it.

Don't pay him!!!!!!!

This shyster hid this 'link' information in the middle of a paragraph of the phones description (nicked off the SE website - another dodgy sign!) so it looks like he was trying to hid this in order to get as many bids as possible. He will probably complain, and say 'you should have read the description carefully', but he should have made this more clear, and not hid it in an unrelated paragraph.

I tried getting a K700 off one of those '£20' websites, mainly through curiosity of those schemes, (take a look at this thread here for my experiences) and you will most probably not get the phone, unless you are first or second in the list. And I bet the seller is the one at the top of the list (or owns this dodgy site).

I'd take the neg he may give you on the chest, but report him to Ebay. They may well remove your neg feedback and ban this idiot seller from Ebay.

Edit: JCwhite beat me to it! ittook me a good 5 minutes to find that sentence too, that seller had hidden it quite well!

Well done guys, I hadn't spotted that. The blue and red text on a grey background is very hard to read, especially in the early hours of the morning.

I echo the sentiments of the others, don't pay the guy a penny... take a negative and give him one back. That will pretty much end his Ebay selling ambitions (the less of these idiots, the better).
