A new transparent and flexible transistor now being developed by the Japan Science and Technology Agency.
Made from a delicious blend of oxide compound with indium, gallium and zinc, the transistor can be manufactured on a thin film of clear plastic.
The new technology could be used for small, flexible and even clear pocketsize gadgets, from PDAs to smart phones.
The Agency, along with the Tokyo Institute of Technology, has created a slow prototype. But they're planning a version with a new material that will increase the speed over the current prototype tenfold.
