My apologies if this topic has been covered before. just thought id see what features you guys would like to see in the next version of sman. Dont get me wrong im not saying that sman is a bad program, i think its an amazing program, just think that it could be improved a bit. I would like to see a flip closed mode where you can flush all programs and load the snapshot. what would you guys like to see?

@uncle. Sman is a multi-purpose utility for symbian UIQ devices. It adds all the followng features/functions to your device: file manager, task manager, network (cell site id etc) information, password-protected info store, bluejack module, Today View (calendar), plus some other neat functions. Its the first app anyone should install on their UIQ device, in my opinion.

SMan is a simple utility that manages processes running on your P800. While the idea is not new (qFileMan, Switcher), SMan's improves upon the existing utilities by providing a friendlier user interface and a number of additional features that make it convenient to manage your processes.
Beside the obvious task list and task termination, SMan also allows you to do the following:

Take a snapshot of the current running tasks. You can use the snapshot to flush all tasks which are NOT in the task list thereby providing a quick way to clean your system. Running less tasks in the background conserves valuable memory and battery life.

Create shortcut links. The five (5) icons on the application picker bar can sometimes be insufficient. SMan provides an additional seven (7) shortcuts through which you can launch your favourite application.

Compress the current system heap to reclaim free memory that is unused.
The End Task, Flush Out, Snapshot, Refresh and Compress Heap options have been removed from the menu system and placed as buttons at the bottom of the screen.

There is now a Run option. SMan will query the OS of all the software installed and displays them in alphabetical order, just scroll to the application you want to run and it gets launched.

There is now a Fix Applist option that fixes the problem where the applications icon does not show all the apps you've installed in your P800, all the programs folders are empty.

There is now a Bluebeam option. This allows users to send files via Bluetooth, something which Symbian/SE forgot to add in their File Manager. This was previously called "Bluetooth send".

There is also the now famous Bluejack option. This option allows you to bluejack an individual as well as to do a proimity sweep of all bluetooth enabled devices around you (and bluejack them!). There is also a log file for all bluetooth activities so that you can gloat and see how many victims you have found while the sweep was active. You can also see this as a screen log.

You can also quickly disable SMan's hotkey. This is useful when you would like to use that hotkey in another application temporarily.

Flipclose flush option. If this option is selected, everytime you close the flip, SMan will do a flushout of all applications in your smartphone. This guarantees that you do not have unnecessary processes running in the background that might eat up on your battery.

Forced endtask. Previously, the endtask feature would get the OS to kill the process/program that was running. Droll has changed this to a "suicide request" where SMan will ask the program to terminate by itself. This has the added advantage of allowing the program to do a proper cleanup of all resources used and to free up the memory it has used before terminating itself.

@janptr. Search me o. I wonder why d sudden volte face

Well, here's my answer: I'd love for Sman to include a 'desktop' feature similar to Tracker or ActiveDesk. Plus ability to map any button to ANY function on the device.

I want the sman bluejack option to send a Vcard (with pictures / details) to the user instead of the message and to only bluejack the same phone once not every couple of seconds.
