I have searched this forum like a manic and read post after post without getting an answer on my riddled question (the search engine did not really filtrate that good... 13.000 posts is quite a lot).
Anyway.. I have a MSI Btoe Bluetooth adapter which I use to send files between my Sony Ericsson Z600 and my PC. After formating my computer and installing SP2 on XP. I found out at the MSI website that there were a new driver, specially desgined for the SP2 but found that new driver useless since I can not send files FROM my Z600 phone.
So I tried to get the "old" driver installed instead, the MSI driver, (alas, I could not remove the newly installed Blutooth Software, since it could not be found anywere in the uninstall programs tab) and got stuck where I have to find out BDAdress of my dongle.
The problem is that it constantyl gives my an error where it says: "No Bluetooth Device was found!"
How the heck do I solve this?
Please! Lend me your advice!

I have the exact same situation/problem with my z600/ win xp (SP2) etc.

Well thats easy to explane.................................. ok the phones that se use are not compatible with the msi adapter because the are different frequencies.............. well atleast that what this guy told me a cisco systems. He said oh if you want a bluetooth adapter tell me the device you want to connecto to.I told him a se device. and he said ok well goo cas most of our sevice are se compatible. And if it isnt the same frequence then it will not detect it....................Bluetooth is a radio service...

Well, that isn't true. I have transfered loads of things to/from my Sony Ericsson via the MSI Tboes (bluetooth device) so stating that it shouldn't work at all - is wrong.
Anyway. If anyone finds out anything how this problem (se first post) can be solved, me and Nick would gladly appreciate it.

"Your connection settings problably have changed. Check again if you have the right serial port and your bluetooth is setup correctly."
Didn't help me but thought i'd post it anyway cause that guy is a smart cookie.

well what the guy was saying was that you probably have changed your connection setting so make sure FMA is set up for the right serial port (remember you create a virtual serial port when you connect via bt, and its usually port 3)
if that doesn't help try installing
These (first post) drivers, it's what made my dongle work
and as for different frequencies for different bt devices... i thought bt was the standard and they all run off the same freq, kind of like wi-fi and cordles s phones

no i have an ambicom bt dongle (i like to call it ambicrap) but i know that c0mm0n posted drivers for MSI devices
just read the first post of that thread i poseted and it has a step-by-step guide to setting up the dongle

Fixed my problem completely: Brought a new dongle!
I read on a forum (sorry can't remember which) that buying a new dongle can solve problems like ours so i did.
Don't think it matters but the dongle I bought was MSI (Micro-Star international) BToes bluetooth USB dongle.
Perhaps you could borrow a dongle off a friend and see if theirs works on your comp before you buy one.
