Bahraini,
If you open Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager you'll see a sub-divison called Ports. Expand that. If your cable is connected properly, you should see it listed under ports. Mine says "MAT USB-Serial Bridge" - notice the COM port number next to that entry and remember it. Then you'll need to go to Control Panel > Phone Monitor Options > COM Ports. Make sure the COM port for the cable (which you should have remembered) is Enabled. If not then select it and click "Enable". Close MPM if it is open and try again.
That should do it.
Let me know if it works.
Cheers.

Glad to be of any help.
I've suffered a lot to get my environment working flawlessly so am always happy to help anyone avoid being in the situation I was once in.

hi,
I have a major problem that I CANNOT get my PC to see my phone, it used to but has stopped working.
I have un-installed the drivers etc, the USB MAT TO SERIAL BRIDGE is installed on COM3 and XP sees it fine. However, Phone Monitor is NOT seeing the phone at all, I am giving up now
My home machine works fine with it and the SONY software, so why my work PC fails I have no idea.
I wonder if it is an IRQ problem or something, although you cannot change the IRQ on this device.
Any clues anyone?
