After seeing two (two!) programs that turn on the backlight on UIQ for SALE! on my-symbain.com, I see the latest useless junk (selling for $8.90) is Parking Buddy - something to sound an alarm when your parking meter runs out. Why anyone would pay $8.90 to buy a program which could easily be emulated for free by setting one of the P900's alarms is beyond me.
It just seems there are people trying to sell, generally useless programs which should either not have been released, or released as freeware. I just hope that UIQ users are intelligent and informed enough not to buy this dross, so the developers will get the message.
Rant over!

@elyl
Couldn't agree more - though anyone that actually does buy these probably deserves them!

Its a joke isnt it.
Hopefully there will soon be a program that allows you to dial numbers into your P900 and then it will call them for you. That would be amazing!!

Did you notice that the Light On sofware was being given away free until Dec 01? I got it and tried it out, forgot to turn it off and was late for work when my phone alarm didn't go off, I guess I ended up paying for it after all

The question isnt if its useless or not, more can it be sold or not.
