when i recieve a message from a contact their name does not come up on the message ??

is it because the message came from a +447 number and the one in the phone book begins with 07***** ?

if that is the case then i am not impressed!

Nope that's not the reason. The most common reason for this is having the number in question stored on both phone and sim, which confuses the phone! Other than that, not sure.

thanks for your suggestions,
but this isnt the case, as i only have one numberstored on the sim and all the rest are on the phones memory,

its really annoying as it takes ages to work out who the texts are from when peple dont sign it!

any more ideas?

Not sure, but it could depend on the operator aswell, why the fone dont recognize the nr. For example u cant send sms with +44, only with 0044. Actually at t mobile hungary. This message was posted from a T68i

This happened to me when i first got my p900. I didnt know what to do so i just resaved the contact and deleted the old one and that seemed to work. I personally didnt know why it does not come up with the number.
hope that helped.

hmm,,
yeah i could try resaving all numbers
but i have about 200 odd, so that is kinda the last resort really,,,

would a master reset delete all the apps i have installed and all the phone numbers i have on the internal memory?
plus the audio and photo files on internal memory?
