Hello,
I have searched forums high and dry and can't seem to figure this out. I have a plantronics MX-150 headset. It has a 2.5mm universal jack. I also own the P910i which has a 2.5mm handsfree port. I don't wanna use stereo headphones. I just wanna use the mx150. How come when I plug it into my phone I can hear sound but the mic doesn't work. Can anyone help me with this please? Thanks

most likely it is because (I am guessing here) your headset has only three connectors to it since it is not a stereo headset. The jack on the P910 has four connectors and it is possible that the connector order is different or the last connector on the plantronics headset is bridging two connectors on the phone and shorting them. I think the connector order might be the problem because I plugged in a friend's jabra boom mic and the phone recognized it as a headset, although I didn't test to see if I had sound and mic functionality.

I don't know. I haven't had the phone long enough or had a reason to look into this yet. In fact I have only plugged my headset in once and my friend's headset in once. I use a bluetooth headset so...
