Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer .mp3 files and or images from my apple powerbook G4 to my new k700i? address book sync works fine via bluetooth, and i can send images to the powerbook from the phone, but not the other way round! transfer starts then just fails after a few kb........

What version of Mac OS X are you using?
What bluetooth dongle are you using?

It certainly is possible! I'm surprised it isn't as everything else appears to be working for you.

First I'd try opening Utilities > Disk Utility on your Mac and Repair Disk Permissions on your Mac OS X boot drive. See if that helps.

If not, then I'd try deleting the pairing information from both the phone and the Mac:

Mac: System Preferences > Bluetooth > Devices Tab - then click on your phone in the list and click Delete Pairing

Phone: Connectivity > Bluetooth > My devices > Highlight your Mac and press the 'C' key

Then go back to the Mac Bluetooth System Preferences and click "Set Up New Device" and start again.

Repairing often sorts out many minor problems.
