> easyMobile gets March launch date
Bookmark topic
A Danish company has secured the rights to launch an easyMobile mobile phone service in the UK. The company will use T-Mobile’s network coverage to offer a ‘no frills’ SIM card only service that will launch in the UK in March next year.
To keep the costs down easyMobile won’t be offering handsets or have any stores in the UK, however it will be offering monthly and pay as you go services for customers who already own a mobile phone.
With the mobile phone handset market becoming saturated, easyMobile are hoping that rather than being driven by the latest handsets users will prefer to opt for the cheapest call prices.
Currently mobile phone operators in the UK heavily subsidise handsets to entice new customers.

ill give it 6 months. unless the tarrifs are VERY cheap i cant see it working, esp when all the networks will be pushing 3g in a big way at that time. itll just get lost in the mess.

I can see this really taking off as most people don't give a hoot about what phone they have just as long as they have cheap calls

For all those of you interested in this, I would suggest you look at Fresh from CPW instead. It's 7.5p for calls, 2.5p for texts, and that's not promotional, like the EasyMobile tariff, it's for good.
Customer service is shocking, but what do you expect for those prices, and Easy will doubtless be just as bad. Personally, I'll be sticking with my contract(s) but if you like a deal, check it out.
