There seems to be a maximum number of email message (headers) that the standard standard client on the P910 can hande, has anyone else seen this ?

I'm on vodafone using GPRS (non-WAP)
Connecting to yahoo (UK)
Using either IMAP or POP3,
Downloading headers only or full messages (2k or 40k limitation)
With over 500 email in my inbox.

The email client always times out, or just continues with a connecting or disconnecting to "pop.mail.etc" window for ever 8-( . It seems to manage down loading the headers first but fails on reconecting to the server.

I have the change from IMAP to POP (or visa versa) to clear the emails to be able to read mail, which I can only do if I do the following:

When I restrict the number of mail to 350, getting just headers or full message .

Cheers,
Ian

Trying to sync that many messages will not be cheap either. Since you are using IMAP, why not setup folders on the server and move messages into them. The P910 can access IMAP folders.
